Maintaining Performance and Value for Shareholders, PGN Wins the 2026 Capital Market Excellence Awards
Jakarta – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN), with the stock code PGAS, has won the ‘Best Energy Sector – IDX Main Board’ award at the 2026 EmitenNews Capital Market Excellence Awards. This award recognises PGN’s performance as a listed company in maintaining business performance, financial discipline, corporate governance, and the creation of value for shareholders.
Under the theme “Connecting Leaders, Championing Growth” and the spirit of “A Decade of Leadership”, the EmitenNews Capital Market Excellence Awards 2026 recognised listed companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) based on a number of indicators, including financial performance, reputation, investor interest, dividend contributions, and public shareholding.
In the assessment, PGN achieved the maximum score of 5 on the scale for several indicators, namely public shareholding, investor interest, dividend contribution, and reputation.
The assessment also took into account a number of criteria, including whether the company is listed on the IDX’s Main Board or Development Board, has published its financial statements for the 2025 financial year, meets the requirements for free float and the number of shareholders based on Indonesia Stock Exchange data, and is not included on the Highly Concentrated Shareholding (HSC) list.
This award is in line with PGN’s performance throughout 2025, which was underpinned by operational strengthening and the implementation of financial discipline. PGN recorded revenue of USD 3.9 billion in 2025, an increase of approximately 5 per cent compared to the previous year. The company also recorded an operating profit of USD 519.6 million and a net profit of USD 215.4 million.
In terms of returns to shareholders, PGN distributed a dividend for the 2025 financial year of USD 172.29 million, or approximately Rp3.04 trillion, using Bank Indonesia’s exchange rate of Rp17,673 per US dollar. This amount is equivalent to a dividend payout ratio (DPR) of 80 per cent of the net profit attributable to the parent entity for the 2025 financial year, amounting to USD 215.36 million.
By maintaining a DPR of 80 per cent, PGN aims to strike a balance between providing returns to shareholders and the need to support the long-term sustainability of business growth. This is also in line with the Company’s efforts to maintain financial discipline, cash flow quality and business fundamentals amidst the dynamics of the global energy industry.
PGN’s Corporate Secretary, Fajriyah Usman, stated that this award recognises the company’s efforts to maintain business performance whilst creating sustainable value for shareholders.
“This award recognises PGN’s efforts to maintain business performance whilst creating sustainable value for shareholders. PGN will continue to implement a prudent growth strategy by maintaining financial discipline and strengthening its business fundamentals,” said Fajriyah.
PGN believes that, looking ahead, the fundamentals of the domestic natural gas business continue to offer positive long-term prospects, in line with rising national energy demand and the strategic role of natural gas as a transitional fuel towards new and renewable energy sources.
To capitalise on these growth opportunities, PGN continues to ensure operational reliability through the management of its natural gas portfolio, both via pipelines and non-pipeline modes such as LNG and CNG. Optimisation of infrastructure and improvements in operational and financial efficiency are also being pursued.
This strategy forms part of PGN’s efforts, as Pertamina’s Gas Subholding, to strengthen the natural gas business sustainably, provide energy solutions for various customer segments, and create value for shareholders and stakeholders.
