Consistently Strengthening Corporate Governance, PGN Once Again Wins the IICD Corporate Governance Award 2026
Jakarta – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN) has once again been recognised for its commitment to implementing good corporate governance (GCG) at the 17th IICD Corporate Governance Awards 2026. PGN was recognised amongst the Top 50 Largest Market Capitalisation Public Listed Companies (BigCap PLCs) at the event.
Organised by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD), the award recognises the implementation of sound corporate governance practices, transparency, accountability, and corporate responsibility towards stakeholders.
Over the past five years, PGN has consistently been among the listed companies recognised by the IICD. In 2025, PGN ranked 18th in the Top 50 BigCap PLCs category based on corporate governance assessments.
PGN’s Corporate Secretary, Fajriyah Usman, stated that the implementation of GCG is a vital part of PGN’s efforts to strengthen its business fundamentals and maintain the trust of shareholders and stakeholders.
“As part of the national energy ecosystem and as a publicly listed company, PGN regards corporate governance as the foundation for conducting business in a transparent, accountable and sustainable manner. The implementation of GCG serves as the basis for responsible decision-making, prudent risk management, and efforts to maintain the trust of investors and stakeholders,” Fajriyah explained.
For PGN, strengthening corporate governance is not merely about meeting compliance requirements, but also forms part of the company’s strategy to maintain operational reliability, strengthen business fundamentals, and create long-term value for shareholders and stakeholders.
As Pertamina’s Gas Subholding, PGN plays a strategic role in managing national natural gas infrastructure and services. PGN’s operations are supported by a gas pipeline network spanning more than 33,000 kilometres, 2 Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRUs), 1 LNG Hub, 14 Gas Refuelling Stations (SPBGs), 4 Mobile Refuelling Units (MRUs), and various other natural gas infrastructure facilities. Through this infrastructure, PGN serves more than 820,000 customers across various segments, from households, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the commercial and industrial sectors to transport and power generation.
The scale and scope of these operations demand robust corporate governance, including risk management, regulatory compliance, and the application of safety and operational reliability standards. This forms part of PGN’s efforts to ensure business continuity whilst supporting national energy security.
“PGN will continue to strengthen the implementation of GCG, which is integrated into its business strategy, risk management and corporate compliance. We believe that good corporate governance is a vital foundation for ensuring business sustainability, creating long-term value for shareholders and supporting the development of the national natural gas ecosystem,” Fajriyah concluded.
